Anymore, I find politics in this country to be nauseating. To me, the one side twists everything into something else that to most reasonable people, doesn't make sense. Also, and to me, the one side is easily the most caring yet uncaring, charitable yet un-charitable, tolerant yet intolerant, genuine yet disingenuous etc. They are everything to everyone and nothing to most. One is castigated for not "saying" how much they care about "x", while they oftentimes cobble words into empty virtue signaling. Witness some of what we hear on this very blog that, increasingly, and to me, is just sound-byte babble. As much as I try to listen, be reasonable and open-minded (within the confines of our Catholic faith), fair and avoid sinning while so doing, I feel anymore that TJM's assessment is on point.
You said it more eloquently than I did. Here is a simple illustration how unhinged they have become, installing a tampon dispenser in 3rd to 5th grade boys’ bathroom. Strange indeed when they claim they are following the “science.”
This is sure to ruin the day for the Political Left (including many of the Catholic hierarchy):

Welfare programs? The left’s favorite: they mostly served politicians. They even stole food from the poor. Yes. They stole food from the poor.
Now, welfare flows directly to those who need it most.
At the core of our strategy, we eradicated the source of the macroeconomic instability that had plagued our nation for so long: we eliminated the fiscal deficit. We now run a fiscal surplus, which has dramatically reduced our country risk—from the 3000s to the 700s.
A miracle, some say? How dare they!
This is not a miracle. This is hard work. This is putting the country first, not politicians.
Why is the opposition protesting so fervently? Not because they care for the people or the nation, but because they fear the truth—that they have been the problem all along. Their time is over.
Again, this is not a miracle.
This is hard work. This is having a vision, formulating a plan, and executing it without fear. This is having the guts to do what is right. This is president @JMilei leadership.
The jig is up for the left. They have nothing, and they never did. They do not love the poor. They love poverty.
This is the crazy stuff that those attacking DOGE will not acknowledge.
SECRETARY BROOKE ROLLINS: We just had a wonderful cabinet meeting, all aligned on certainly the effort to realign the government. But even at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, we’ve canceled a $300,000 contract educating on food justice for queer and transgender farmers in San Francisco. We canceled a similar contract in New York—again, educating transgender and queer farmers on food justice and food equality. I’m not even sure what that means. But apparently, the last administration wanted to put our taxpayer dollars toward that.
We also canceled a $600,000 contract out of Louisiana that was studying the menstrual cycles of transgender men—a $600,000 contract. We canceled another contract out of a university in the Midwest that focused on getting more diversity, equity, and inclusion into our pest management industry. Again, these are nonsensical. It makes zero sense to use taxpayer dollars to fund these.
I know these are just a few examples of the hundreds and hundreds that we have found.
This will ruin K's day, a Trump hater, Bill Barr, former AG, says Boasberg is all wet. I suspect this is a green light to Roberts that he can do his job properly.
