Darn, Father, I was sure I was right, there goes that "A". So, shooting for a "D", is that dinner for three at the altar with deacon and acolyte as waiter and wine steward?
Lawoski nailed it. The tabernacle, contains our Eucharistic Lord, the Most Blessed Sacrament, is in a nondescript, low visible location while the Celebrant’s Chair holds the highest honor even above the altar, as I rend my garments!
This particular expression of antiquarianism (i.e., a faux paleo-Christian sanctuary layout) is thankfully on the way out. Still present in too many places, yes, but most new and renovated churches I've seen in my adult life don't do this. Many people are realizing that it is, in fact, better to have our Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament be the focus of attention in His house, rather than enthroning the "presider" in the highest and most prominent seat (cf. Luke 14:8, 11:43).
I always love it when someone wails "ANTIQUAIRIANISM!" when the reach back in time is, say, 1700 or 1800 years, but then turns around and says, "TRADITION IMMEMORIAL!" when reaching back only 400 or 500 years...

The Tabernacle is not in the center, while the priest chair is where the Tabernacle should be.
