TEACHING CHILDREN TO KNEEL AT THE ALTAR RAILING I REMOVED AND SEVERAL YEARS LATER RESTORED…

What a nice thing to see first thing in the morning. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Our parish is adding back in an altar rail--the prior one having been ignominiously ripped out in the 1980s and turned into a railing at a local bar--and the work should be done in less than six months!

So what made you take the altar railing down in the first place?
