Now, if he would do the right thing and finally marry his “fiancée” and mother of his two children, after seven years of cohabiting. I live in SC and have followed Dustin for years. He is now very on track with his golf game (after a lot of missteps), but he is a terrible role model for his children and young golfers in his personal life.
No I don't play golf and don't like the game, except for the final round at the Masters. I always find that exciting, but I think it is because I grew up there and have been on the course several times for the Masters or the practice rounds.
I wish I had owned land adjoining the club---they certainly have bought a lot of land in the area. Who knows, maybe someday they will own everything up to Interstate 20 along Washington Road and bring some beautification to the corridor! When you watch the Masters, CBS never shows the areas outside the club---no blimp overhead viewing the Augusta area.
I heard the club is donating millions of dollars to revitalize some adjoining areas, like the Harrisburg area south of the club along Broad Street, a neighborhood split in two in the mid 1970s by one of the world's shortest expressways, the two and a half mile John C. Calhoun Expressway. Lord knows why it was needed---seems like River Watch Parkway, built about 15 years after the Calhoun, somewhat duplicates that expressway.
One other story about the Masters---legend has it that back in the 1930s, there was an occasion or two when the Masters fell on Easter, and the Augusta ministers were upset about playing golf on Easter Sunday. Clifford Roberts, the long time chairman (1934-1976) of the National, was reported to have said "well, why don't they change the date of Easter?"

I am skeptical the Masters can be held next April with fans---might have to wait til Nvovember if they want to have lots of fans.
Do you play golf, Father?
