During the "Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in January, we hosted Macon's first "Old City Flower Festival" and had different churches in town to decorate our church. It was the best ecumenical event I've ever experienced. Not only did we have over a dozen churches provide the floral arrangements, over the course of about five days we had over 2000 visitors into the Church.
I want to thank Elaine Schmidt and Steve Gonser who do such a wonderful job at decorating our Church for coordinating this wonderful event. God bless them!
This video is very well done but it lasts a half hour. Enjoy!

For the first time, but not the last time...
Hosted by St Joseph Catholic Church in Macon, Georgia, thirteen of Macon's oldest Congregations have come together in celebration of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (January 20-25, 2012) to give voice to the Jesuit motto: Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (To the Greater Glory of God), bringing greater glory to God through floral tribute.
