This clip is from a politically conservative organization, but the point they make is valid nonetheless. The liberal media with its radical, liberal politics are promoting an agenda that is at odds with conservative Christianity in the area of sexuality. These liberal elitists in the media who have tremendous power over the masses who watch them, whether in news shows or entertainment, will stop at nothing until they silence the Church, especially the Catholic Church, and convince weak Christians to join their efforts to neuter the influence of traditional Protestants and Catholics in the areas of sexual politics where the Church is bucking the radicals.
Catholics who agree with Joy are leaving the Church for more liberal denominations or simply describing themselves as "nones" when it comes to religion so alienated have they become to the truth and the prophetic voice of the Church. This liberal secularism even upon once practicing Catholics in part explains why almost 70% of Catholics no longer participate in Mass every Sunday and a significant number would not publicly describe themselves as Catholics any longer. Do we accommodate and appease the dissenting, disloyal Catholics to keep them in the fold or should the Church be prophetic and call them to "re-conversion?" I suspect you know my position.

I'm sorry, but Joel Osteen is extremely hard to take seriously as anything but a con man, slick, feel good charlatan. He deserves whatever he gets from the secular culture he woos so fervently.
pin,
Maybe the disingenuine Joel Osteen deserves what he gets, but it is Christianity that is being criticized by Joy Behar here, not Joel Osteen.
She used him as a convenient target/sounding board, and wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise. She's the elistist blowhard in my book, and way too full of herself.
I'd like to see Joy try that on this blog's author...she'd be creamed.
So, terroristic Muslims are separated from most normal Muslims, but hate-filled homophobes can't be separated form most normal Christians?
I had the TV on yesterday and the sit-com "Two and a Half Men" came on. On it was displayed two grown men with arms around each other as a 'normal loving couple' and it was slid into the story so seemlessly that the watcher is subliminaly expected to accept this as proper and it being proper and morally correct to accept such a relationship.
Thanks goodness my child didn't see it.
That kind of sneaky, insidious influence, as well as other media distorting and twisting the Christian message about homosexuality and homosexual acts is steadily ruining everyones's sense of right and wrong.
Joy Behar's upper story is unfurnished.
Joy Behar is less than a lightweight and should not even be engaged by intelligent people.
