Pope Benedict burned in effigy by rank and file Muslims after a speech he gave on Islam in 2006 at a university in Germany!
One of the priests amongst 60 laity and some clergy massacred by militant Islamic extremists in an Iraq Catholic Cathedral two weeks ago!
The blood of Baghdad screams out to heaven and earth!
Read this article, "His Wrath Upon Their Heads" by FATHER RAYMOND J. DE SOUZA, on the massacre that happened in Iraq about two weeks ago at Mass. Press this sentence.
About two weeks ago, Islamic terrorists entered a Catholic Cathedral in Iraq and killed about 60 Catholics along with their priests as they celebrated Mass together.
There was some news about it in the main stream press but very little in my opinion compared to how the press covered Pope Benedict and his September, 2006 speech at Regensburg University and the Muslim reaction, so fierce that threats were made against the Holy Father's Life and he was burned in effigy in many Islamic countries.
Could you imagine the world-wide coverage in the liberal media and their outrage if Catholics entered a Mosque and did the same thing to Muslims as they prayed?
READ A 2006 ARTICLE BY THE BBC CONCERNING POPE BENEDICT'S SPEECH ON ISLAM BY PRESSING THIS SENTENCE. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
And from MSNBC from September 16, 2006.

In this day and age everyone has to say that which is politically correct, except the Muslim terrorists, the main stream media, or ANYONE who may disagree on a topic who can be out-screamed or out-yelled at by others.
When I am out with a group, I listen intently, I nod my head and smile in agreement with whatever is said (even if I do not agree), and when I go home I have the great feeling that I did not make a fool of myself.
"But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Moslems: these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."

"The Church has also a high regard for the Muslims. They worship God, who is one, living and subsistent, merciful and almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, who has also spoken to men. They strive to submit themselves without reserve to the hidden decrees of God, jjst as Abraham submitted himself to God's plan, to whose faith Muslims eagerly link their own."

One can choose to be afraid, or one can choose to stand firm in one's faith in Allah.
I do not have faith in Allah, and it is not "all the same god." The plan of salvation may include Muslims, but there isn't much indication that they are cooperating. I believe Islam is the enemy of the Church and Judaeo-Christians everywhere. Isn't there sonme nice Islamo-Fascist blog you can go to somewhere?
It was my understanding that Catholics were to assent to the authoritative teaching of their Church's magisterium. Or am I mistaken?
These statements are exactly as they appear: positions of the Church and it's relation to Muslims. It is not an equivocation of Islam with Christianity, but a doctrinal foundation for peace, from the perspective of the Church, with the philosophy of Islam.
The quoted passages clearly state that Islam is a good effort to comply with God's teachings, but fall short of salvation. The same can be said of schismatic Christian sects; they are also in error.
Islam aspires to God, but is not inspired by Him, so is vulnerable to failure and extinction and is not a true path. There is a desire in people to confront and solve the problem Islam presents by attacking Moslems. But the Moslem is generally an innocent people who are simply on a bad path. The point these passages make is that however in error the Moslem is, they are at least seeking a common goal and should not be condemned for it.
The Church believes that the Moslem is worthy of salvation and should be lived with peacefully. The problem Islam presents for the rest of the world is how be destroyed along with Islam while it destroys itself.
BTW, the "plan of salvation" includes Divine Justice meted out to those who obstinately remain in darkness and who are enemies of the Faith. It is not a one dimensional plan to save everybody. I imagine it will be particularly hard on those who quote Scripture and Church doctrine in an effort to use the Church's teachings in an effort to intimidate or cow Christians into passiveness in the face of moral and religious outrages. Got your asbestos suit, Abou?
So, I now see what people mean when they speak of "Cafeteria Catholics." You pick and choose which teaching of your Church to accept and which to reject.
Doesn't your Bible say: "Woe to you Pharisees...."
I just don't understand the Muslim mind, how can any community that believes in the one true God, allow this to happen. They say that there are moderate Muslims, well if there are then let them stand and rise up against the extremist. Our faith teaches of culpability, and the so-called moderate Muslim who just stands by and lets this stuff happens with out action is just as culpable as if they did it themselves. Here in America we need to see action, but it seems Islamic governments and the average Muslim is ok with murder and mayhem. I hate I feel this way, but until Islam makes an effort to stop terrorism, and bring the radicals to true justice, my mind will not change.
Do not apologize for feeling that way. Until a lot more people do, these savages will be tolerated.
My problem with Islam is the Quran. Later parts of it contradict earlier parts of it, and the violent adherents use those later parts to justify their acts.
I do love and respect the discipline of the faithful of Islam, it reminds me very much of the things I read about Christendom when the thoughts of western society followed God's Law first and extablished their secular laws to comply with God's Law. Nowadays it seems we're 180 degrees out from that position, and Islam is much closer to that way of life.
But still, while both religions honor Martyrs of the Faith we seem to have vastly different approaches to how such Martyrs are created. One side believes they die for their faith and the other believes they kill for their faith, which once again draws me back to the Islamic faithful putting too much credence in "Satanic Verses".
Read a little about how Mohammed created Islam. Just a bunch of nonsense and fantasies that borrow heavily from Biblical language and themes. The sandy version of Mormonism.
