Italy has always been an enigma to me, liturgically. Italians always seemed to me to be a people who loved beauty in all things, including the Liturgy. So why does this sort of thing happen there?
I remember being in Italy in 1974 and attending Mass at The Gesu. At first I thought I was in a Latin language service because the Italian seemed nearly like Latin. I wondered then, why Latin would have been displaced there of all places. I am still scratching my head on that one.
The liturgical deformations are the result of theological left-subversive teachings gaining hegemony. The deviant Christian theologians in the Catholic Church glommed onto V-2 engendered Spirit of the Council movements. The tragical consequence of this Mobilist theological movement is a predictable mass abandonment of the Catholic Church.
Unfortunately, our Church leadership is stubbornly committed to this movement for the time being.

The altar is clear, so it would appear that the sacrifice had been concluded.
Undignified on the part of the VESTED priest. I hate when adults who should know better act foolish in this way.
Poor example for the youth by Fr. Too-Kool-For-Skool.
If they want to have a bonding moment of this sort, save it for the coffee hour.

*then to act foolishly etc.
I find it so difficult to achieve John Nolan style grammatical perfection when hurriedly typing comments in a small box...Even more so on my phone.
