This might as well be “black face” a white person feigning being a black person or delusionally declaring they are and then the media saying this black person has won more money on jeopardy than any other black person in the history of the show. If that isn’t an insult to blacks, I don’t know what is.
Yet, ABC nightly news echoing other news outlets declared this absurdity on their show Wednesday night:
Amy Schneider continues streak as highest-earning and longest-winning woman in "Jeopardy!"
Amy Schneider is now the highest-earning female contestant in the show's history, according to the show's website. Schneider has earned $831,600 besting Larissa Kelly's previous high of $655,930.
Schneider also surpassed Julia Collins for consecutive wins.
The truth of the matter is that Amy is a biological man, but prefers to identify as a female, like a biologically white person in black face identifying as African American.
And thus we have other absurdities , insulting to biological women of men in “female face” winning sporting events and being touted as the most record breaking “women” in the sport’s history.
It’s a lie, an insult to biological women and immoral gender ideology.
And ABC glories in it just as so many racists in the south prior to desegregation gloried in the falsehood of “separate but equal”.

Of course, Fr. ALLAN McDonald, a biological male, you presume to speak for all women when you say, "It’s an insult to biological women."
Mansplain much?
You have, no doubt, consulted a goodly number of women to see if you very non-female viewpoint is shared by them. Well, haven't you?
In any case, Amy is one hell of a good JEOPARDY player and a great JEOPARDY champion.
Obviously, opposed to Catholic teaching, you live in an alternate universe. Amy is a very smart man. Amy is not a woman and Amy has not won more money than any other woman in the history of the show. Amy has not won more money than other smart men who have been on this show.
Amy if a very smart man. Amy is not a woman. And when Amy goes to the doctor, the doctor will want to know if Amy is a man or a woman in order to treat Amy’s medical issues properly, especially if Amy needs Amy’s prostrate removed or treat. But Amy will never need a hysterectomy or suffer from uterine cancer. Why, because Amy is a man not a woman.
I am sorry if natural law offends thee, but sometimes the truth hurts no matter how smart someone is except when they are pretty damn stupid.
Fr K is a Democrat and Democrats say abortion is “healthcare,” so this is not much of a leap for him
Why should we care if someone wants to play dress up? Do you really, really give a damn? Really? No you don’t. Sometimes it’s best just to leave silliness alone.
How to phrase this in a way that doesn't sound like an insult? I can't, so here it is:
EVERY SINGLE TIME I see a photo of a transexual, the first thing I notice is that something is just "not right" and I immediately suspect a "sex changer" before I even read the headline. The photo provided here is no different. One look ignited my sense of disorder.
As insensitive as it sounds, I cannot help but remember a phrase my dad would use once in a great while: "If he only knew how stupid he looks..."
I want to assume that Father Kavanaugh has good intentions, but I have to politely disagree. It is offensive to me as a human being (and I am white) to hear black people using the "N" word. It is offensive to me to hear women talk about themselves crudely, even going so far as to call each other "bitches" or use the 'C" word to describe their private parts (or even the casual "boobs" when talking about their breasts. A woman's body is where human life begins and, even if they don't value that, I do. I don't have to have Alzheimer's Disease to understand it is wrong when someone calls such a victim "crazy" or "nuts". This entire mindset that suggests one can only speak to an issue if they are "members" of the "oppressed" group might be well-meaning, but it is misguided and destructive. I believe that silencing people because they are not "members of the club" is an attack on free speech. We really shouldn't be doing this.
JED, my problem is with ABC World News Tonight even reporting on it but in the report emphasizing that this man is a woman and saying it over and over again. And then insulting the actual high winning women by saying this man had overtake her.
Is that national or world news I ask?
It is an insult because someone thinks that being a woman is as easy as saying so, and weak people agree. It should strike us as insensitive as pretending to be black, and someday, to some people’s embarrassment, it will.
rcg,
Look at that creep, Rachel Levine, who is the Biden administration.
Something important to note: gender has nothing to do with intellect anymore than what this guy claims he is, man or woman, has to do with it. This case, unlike in varsity sports, gender matters no more than how tall a person is.
Fr. ALLAN McDonald, Unfortunately you begin to sound like TJM when you says things like, "I am sorry if natural law offends thee,..."
NL doesn't offend me. Never has, never will. That is an absurd conclusion created out of nothing.
What I find offensive are 1) priests who exhibit exceptional clericalism by making universal declarations such as, "It’s a lie, an insult to biological women and immoral gender ideology" when they have no basis for doing so; and 2) people who exhibit a limited understanding of Natural Law and the complexities of applying it to very specific circumstances as if saying the words "Natural Law" made their comments unassailable.
Within Catholic philosophy and moral theology there are questions being asked and discussed on transgenderism and other matters that, heretofore, were not asked.
Everything is not cut and dried, as much as you might wish it were.
Frmjk go study your biology and Science. You missed the class on gender. Clue, it is not about morality or Phil. It is Science. Follow the science.
The news report, JED, though, falsely stated that he was a man acting the part of a woman won more money than any actual women. He’s not a woman, but as a man who trounced the actual highest winning woman. Sexist and insulting. Implication is that men are smarter especially when acting like a woman.
Fr. ALLAN McDonald - "Implication is that men are smarter especially when acting like a woman."
How DO you come up with this sort of malarkey? TJM is most definitely having an impact.
As for the SCIENCE of transgenderism, you might want to get up to speed with the research and leave your preconceptions behind.
This might be a good place to start: Between the (Gender) Lines: the Science of Transgender Identity https://sitn.hms.harvard.edu/flash/2016/gender-lines-science-transgender-identity/
Fr. MJK said:

With sincerity, what types of questions are being asked?
Father McDonald,
Fr K just complimented you by comparing you to an orthodox Catholic, a type he rejects! He is so immersed in leftwing Democrat ideology, he has truly lost it.
Fr McDonald did not deserve the snide comment which appeared at 7:09 am. Those most critical of 'gender theory' tend to be women (and feminists) like Germaine Greer and JK Rowling. If a biological woman identifying as a man chooses to show off her bits in a men's changing room, or demands the right to compete against men on the sports field, no one is really bothered.
However, the vast majority of sexual assaults are committed by men on women, and most men identifying as women are entire, so women surely have the right not to have their safe spaces invaded. The recent trial of Ghislaine Maxwell shows that society has to protect vulnerable women and girls from male sexual predators and their accomplices.
Oh dear, oh dear. One of the challengers to Amy on JEOPARDY this evening was Dan, a retired cybersecurity specialist from Washington, DC, who mentioned his husband (!) in the interview portion of the show.
Dan finished in third place - how I remember finishing third, which is dead last.
I wonder what is implicit in tonight's episode...
The man is honest about his gender and mortal sin of mocking a marriage? He follows the science and biology about what constitutes male and female. Is Amy married to a woman? And does that make him a Lesbian?
Fr. K,
Abortion was the leading cause of death in the world this year: 43 million babies killed yet your party calls that “healthcare.” Congratulations
TJM, I have lost count the number of times you have written this.
Father McDonald,
My hope is this will eventually sink in to him and he might change his voting pattern
Micro managing and obsessing on someone’s secret ballad?
When it’s a priest, yes, but with him it is not a secret. Ever hear of Mit Brenneder Sorge? If Pius XI were alive today he would issue another encyclical condemning the modern Democrat Party
ByzRus - This very brief item offers suggestions on the areas of inquiry.

This is an odd article FRMJK for you to recommend for our reading especially this quote by Ysabel Johnston, BA in Philosophy, PhD Student in Health Care Ethics & Theology, Saint Louis University:
:Christian bioethicists and theologians find themselves in a bind when it comes to gender transitions for transgender persons. On the one hand, it’s clear that gender dysphoria is a painful, sometimes fatal, state of being which requires treatment and care.”
That statement alone could get that student canceled suggesting that transgendered people have “gender dysphoria” that needs treatment!
But yes, sane people would agree with Ysbel. This is a mental illness that needs treatment, psychological and spiritual counseling to help the person accept the gift of gender God assigned to them from all eternity.
And like the character on that old margarine commercial, “Mother Nature” who was fooled that the margarine she sampled was not butter, she proclaimed this eternal truth: “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature!”
Fr. ALLAN McDonald, it only seems odd to you because you live in a world of BC (baseless conclusions) and the AON (absence of nuance.)
Above you posted that I was opposed to Catholic teaching, a baseless conclusion, which is simply untrue. That I then post a link to an item that is nuanced and thought provoking, and you fly into further TJM-ish nonsense about what the implications of citing Dr. Johnson's thought might be. "Cancel Culture" us a creature of the simple-minded and afraid, neither of which maladies I suffer from. You can worry about it for the both of us.
Is thoughts are clearly nullified by pc cancel culture as therapy for gender disorders is considered hate. And by Catholic teaching which you do not promote by sighting this person. How about VII ting the ccc. That would be a step in the right direction for us all.
"Is thoughts are clearly nullified by pc cancel culture as therapy for gender disorders is considered hate. And by Catholic teaching which you do not promote by sighting this person. How about VII ting the ccc."
Well, now, what shall we make of "Is," "sighting," and "ting."
Also, therapy for gender disorders is not considered hate. What many find objectionable is therapy that does not respect the person being treated. (Reminder: "respect" does not mean agreement or approval.)
I have no idea what you think you mean by "And by Catholic teaching which you do not promote by sighting this person." I wonder if you do.
You're slipping deeper and deeper into the TJM deep end there, Good Father.
Somebody making a lot of posts here is dangerously close to revealing something that he would probably be better off keeping under wraps. But his responses are a dead giveaway. The harder he tries to hide it, the more obvious it becomes.
Fr. MJK - Thank you. I agree with your suggestion: There seems to be depth here that can't just be broad brushed one way or another.
"Somebody"? Now, who could that be?
Somebody needs to show some courage and say what he means.
(And, Thomas Garrett, if you think "somebody" is intimidated IN THE LEAST by your faux-cryptic post, think again.)
Well, if the shoe fits.
Father Kavanaugh, nobody mentioned your name--you (predictably) came forward to answer the call.
Intimidate? I am incapable of intimidating anyone and I certainly would not have the gall to try to do so here. If anything, I was trying to offer a polite and vague suggestion to keep someone from going too far.
I'm finished.
TG - Balderdash. Your little charade is beyond amateurish and your denial pitiful.
Man up.
There was nothing "polite" in your post, nothing at all.
And "nobody mentioned your name."
