That aside, the circus that the Bishop is permitting within the Holy Place is disgraceful, self-centered and sentimental. An Eastern Bishop, either Catholic or Orthodox, would never permit this, period! This Bishop needs to be schooled in decorum. Otherwise, "where does it end??" becomes part of the equation. Before the "Lighten Up" crowd gets going, please know that so foreign is clapping in church to Eastern Christians they have to be outright coaxed into doing so on the very rare occasion that someone feels that expression is appropriate.
