Proselytism is forcing oneself upon people or a community of people in an unwelcome or condescending way. Evangelization is offering the Good News of the Church to those who hunger for it and are made to feel respected especially their own religious traditions or lack thereof. After all, it is the Holy Spirit that guides the seeker who must be welcomed and loved.
