Oh I guess he is sending him to the most important post of chaplain to cafeteria works in Aleppo.

Getting his walking papers no doubt. When in Rome I watched Monsignor Marini prep for the celebration of Palm Sunday Mass. He was out in St Peters Square conducting a walk through. He was calm, thorough and clearly in charge. If he is departing he and his vision will be missed but Francis has kept him around for quite a while so maybe he (Marini) will find greener pastures. Perhaps now the Papal Altar will move from it's current location to a more central one by the obelisk and we can all do Mass in the round as so many Jesuits prefer.....sorry, couldn't resist :)

Msgr. Marini's second 5 year term is up, so maybe we're in for a change. My hope against hope is that since Marini has been docile to Francis and not made any waves in interviews, maybe he will get a third term.

I hope he's still around to announce 'extra omnes' before closing the doors to the Sistine Chapel. The sooner, the better.
