SHOULD CARDINAL CUPICH BE GIVEN AN “F-“ IN SYNODALITY?

Cardinal Cupich, from all appearances, seems to have acted like the Lone Ranger in deciding to award pro-abortion rights Senator Durbin a Catholic honor.

He in a twilight zone kind of way, says he is doing so as a form of synodality, to be open and dialogical with those in the Church with a different point of view on abortion.

Since this has become public, several bishops around the country have voiced their disagreement with Cardinal Cupich’s arrogant gift of an honor of the Church to a pro-abortion rights Catholic politician.

It is a spectacle that bishops are fighting with bishops over things that in fact there should be no disagreement. When anyone publicly disgraces their Catholic identity by promoting pure evil, that Catholic should be censured not honored.

If Cardinal Cupich had practiced practical and helpful synodality, he would have consulted with the bishops of his region and beyond and even the papal nuncio.

Did he? I don’t know, but appears he did not and thus his touting of synodality has no credibility whatsoever. Just sayin’!

Cupich is despised in Chicago. When I was a member of the Archdiocese I returned my bishop’s appeal envelope with a note: I will contribute when we have a Catholic archbishop again!

Time for sheep to rebel! Enough is enough, the laity must launch full-scale denunciations against such shepherds. Let the Nuncio and Rome know what a stink sheep can make. Jesus' words in Luke 19:40, where He states, "I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out".
