This just happened on July 7th, the anniversary of Summorum Pontificum.
I write more about this below this new and somewhat redundant post. But Pope Leo has acted and quickly so to restore unity to the Syro-Malabar Eastern Rite Church.
Is this the blueprint to placate traditionalists upset with Pope Francis’ harsh and rigid Traditionis Custodes? And also with bishops who are harsh and rigid with Novus Ordo celebrations ad orientem and kneeling for Holy Communion at the altar railing?
This sounds good to me:

It is apparent to me that God has gifted us with a tremendous Roman Pontiff in His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV. That is among the reasons why I am unable to relate to the negativity that various right-wingers have directed at His Holiness.
The SSPX has identified Pope Leo XIV as a false teacher.
In regard to Pope Leo XIV: John-Henry Westen, who is out at LifeSiteNews, declared a few days ago: "Lay leaders tell me: they’re watching his next moves very closely. Vestments soothe, but appointments alarm."
Verbal attacks against Pope Leo XIV flow around-the-clock on numerous right-wing/"trad" Internet, X, sites.
It is a shame that certain folks are unable to appreciate the wonderful holy man we have in Pope Leo XIV.
Pax.

What bishops are leading the way. As with the Syro-Malabar rite it is the heterodox left, including a huge number of clergy, some bishops creating the violent reactions to Pope Francis’ rigidity in terms of saying absolutely no to Mass facing the people. The heterodox left is the greatest problem in the Latin Rite. Perhaps you have forgotten how they, lay and priest treated Pope Benedict.

Hopefully we see silly mandates like the one above (yet another bishop, this time the notorious progressive and Twitter blowhard Abp. Gustavo-Siller, banning distribution of Communion at altar rails) reversed, as well.

This is hardly noteworthy. I shudder to think of what it would take for you to think otherwise of a pope.
