Moving the TLM out of our beautiful basilica is an offense against beauty. The voices of the schola haunt the space as the priestly movements and incense focus the mind and heart on the Sacred Mysteries. The silence is somehow deepened instead of removed with every sound and action. Jesus, mercy. We will miss being in Your presence and meeting You there.

And WHAT was the word/sound you were singing so energetically at you departed the sanctuary? Sing on!
I will give you three choices for the recessional song which i recommended be chosen, one of which was chosen. Let me know which one:
A. Sing a New Church into Being
B. And the Father Will Dance
C. O God, Our Help in Ages Past
I suspect you chose the hymn written by the non-conforming, revivalist Congregationalist minister and moralist Isaac Watts.
How very (dangerously) ecumenical of you!
I did not know Ray Carey was a non-conforming, revivalist Congregationalist minister and moralist! Who knew!
My bad, Carey Landry! Who’s Ray Carey?
