Fr. Z laments the crackdown on the 1962 Roman Missal and those parish churches which underwent and “reenchantment” of their liturgical “space” to use a godawful post Vatican II term.
A message to Fr. Z would be that the modern Missal could easily be celebrated in a reenchanted liturgical space.
A message to local bishops, archbishops and archbishop-cardinals, the modern Missal is allowed to be celebrated in Latin, ad orientem and with Gregorian Plainchant and Polyphony and in a reenchanted liturgical space.
And this reenchanted liturgical space and nave shows you what can be accomplished in a basic a-framed church building. One main altar is all that is needed. God forbid that a bishop force a pastor to add another duplicate altar in front of the main altar of a church like this. IT IS NOT NEEDED! LEAVE THIS LITURGICAL SPACE ALONE! Just my humble suggestion:

Alas, certain bishops have elected to become branch managers instead of being Apostolic successors so they will kow tow to the bully in Rome. Susan from the Parish Council will act as his stool pigeons!
