If there is any event that underscores the sheer ineptitude, stupidity and hostility to itself that the current leadership of the Catholic Church practices, this certainly fits the bill!
This triggers so much anger and sense of betrayal from within, that the temptation to make some very uncharitable remarks about certain "leaders" of our religion is overwhelming. Needless to say, what we are living through is shameful, disgusting and an embarrassment to anyone who loves the Church.
I have mentioned no names, but anyone with a brain and a first-grade Catholic education knows what I mean.
This is just plain vile. Here's to cowardice, surrender and managed decline!
