A series of strong earthquakes hit central Italy on Wednesday, including the capital Rome, forcing schools to be evacuated and rail links to close, although there were no immediate reports of serious damage or injury.
Perhaps someone is trying to get someone else's attention?
" A series of strong earthquakes hit central Italy on Wednesday " I Think Pope Francis should move to this part of Italy and live in one of the destroyed buildings as a sign of solidarity. I am sure they don't have any air conditioning so it will be okay.
By the way, I bet everyone here a beer that the people he worked with were not surprised by any of this except that he actually cut his own junk off. His commanders had to wear blinders.
Unfortunately here in Atlanta, "fake news" entails our ultraliberal Congressman, John Lewis, coming to his senses and acknowledging that Trump was legitimately elected. I'm not holding my breath.....
John Lewis is a left-wing loon and a fraud. He is also a liar. He claimed Trump's Inauguration was the first he is boycotting but it's not. He boycotted George W. Bush's as well. He's dumber than a box of rocks but gets away with it because the corrupt national media will not call him out.
Fake news....not according to the holy Pope Francis. He has met with trans people and called males women and female men. But then he said adultery don't have to change and can receive Holy Commumion. Can we say fake p.....?
Yes. TJM, the entrance sign to Lewis's overwhelmingly district (for conservatives to anyone even just moderate) might be "abandon hope, all yet who enter here). His district voted 85 percent for Clinton...needless to say, he never gets any viable Republican opposition. Ironically, he is called a civil rights "icon", but he has a 100 percent pro-abortion voting record. I keep waiting for the pastor of his church, Dr. King's old Ebenezer Baptist, to call Lewis out for his very un-Christian support for abortion and same-sex marriage, but unfortunately his pastor is just a Democratic hack (who thought about running against Republican Senator Isakson here in Georgia). So I figure not wise to hold my breath thinking Lewis will see the light...instead he remains stuck in the 1960s...George Wallace, Edmund Pettus...well, you get the idea.....
It was Lewis' bravery and that of others like him who marched against segregation and Jim Crow laws who brought us out of the 1960s. Were it not for them and those who marched with them, we'd likely still be there.
Anonymous, no, it was actually the conscience of the Republican Party, the Party of Lincoln, that did it. Whatever Lewis did in the 1960s is overshadowed by his worship of abortion and gay marriage.
Anonymous at 133pm, Lewis' bravery during the 1960s does not absolve him of his radical pro-abortion views today. All he can ever talk about was what happened 50 or so years ago...yes, those were difficult times, but life has to move on. He represents the area of Atlanta that Father M. was born in (if I am correct, in the West End area off of I-20) and that area has remained dangerous for decades---what has he done for them? The schools remain bad but he remains beholden to the teachers' unions. The out-of-wedlock rate is through the roof there (which of course fuels the high crime in the city...and of course in Augusta, Macon, Savannah and countless other places.) He is even speaking at some "social justice" rally here in Atlanta this Saturday---doubtless a rally where you will find support for abortion on demand, same sex marriage and illegal immigration---I doubt something most of those reading this blog would want to attend---certainly not me!
"Lewis' bravery during the 1960s does not absolve him of his radical pro-abortion views today."
I never said or suggested it did.
Fr. M....? Fr McDonald was born in Naples, Italy. Since only Republicans could gerrymander a Congressional District to reach that far - and since Lewis is a Democrat - what gives?
And if you're going to blame Representatives for problems in their districts, you might look into the Republicans who represent high-crime districts such as French Hill, Little Rock, Steve Chabot, Cincinnati, Brad Westrup, Cincinnati, Jackie Walorski, South Bend, Kevin Yoder, Charles Fleischman, Chattanooga, Kansas City, Michael Turner, Dayton, Garret Graves, Baton Rouge, or Gregg Harper, Jackson, Mississippi.
You see, in all those districts, Represented by Republicans, the murder rate is higher than that of - wait for it - Chicago.
I'll assume you do not comprehend my first question, so I won't burden you with it further.
As far as "troublesome changes" are concerned, it seems obvious enough--given the sexual differences with you acknowledge having observed--that it is not possible for a man to become a woman.
Your complaint that "too many people worry about things they cannot change" has no clearer example than men who think they are women.
Your original statement appeared to be countering some line of thinking with which I am unfamiliar.
I do not know what word "Ms" abbreviates, and I doubt that most people do.
There's no need to respond to questions by posting vague accusations. You can just answer people in a calm, rational manner, and thereby enter into a constructive conversation. If your reasoning is sound, then that should become evident.
If, in 2017, a person who has access to a computer, who knows how to read, and who comments on current affairs, does not know what Ms means, then there is a major problem that that person needs to address.
You'll be amazed at the power of learning you have at your fingertips. I'd suggest you use that power as often as possible, certainly more often than you're using it now.

I don't know. I once knew a woman who was concise, logical and consistent. Surely she was a man trapped in a woman's body.
Maybe his internal forum is at peace. Who are we to judge?

Ah, the jokes, the jokes...but, Fr. would never post them.
The Church, in HER wisdom, favors mercy regardless of the gender of the recipient.
"Fake News"? Nah, just another change that some find troublesome.
Ms Portnoy, what exactly is your complaint?
Sorry, some here will not get the allusion ... (sigh)
John Nolan,
Bravo! I am old enough to get it!
Mrs. Portnoy,
Do you think there is some line of thinking that claims the Church favors mercy for one sex over the other?
Also, are you aware that there are various differences between men and women?
Unfortunately here in Atlanta, "fake news" entails our ultraliberal Congressman, John Lewis, coming to his senses and acknowledging that Trump was legitimately elected. I'm not holding my breath.....
Dialogue - No, there is no gender bias in God's mercy or the mercy of the Church.
Yes, there are differences between men and women - silly question.
And it's Ms. Portnoy, thank you very much.
John - My complaint is that too many people worry about things they cannot change.

For what is "ms." an abbreviation, anyway?
I answered your first question: "No, there is no gender bias in God's mercy or the mercy of the Church."
And if you are unfamiliar with Ms, then there's a bigger problem that you need to address.
If, as is more likely, you a feigning ignorance, well, keep at it and see how far that gets you.
Anonymous,
Thank you for responding.

Anonymous,
Thank you. Neither of us know what word it abbreviates. That's okay.
Dialogue - Try this: Google "Ms."
