BEHIND THE VATICAN GENIUS OF NOT STOMPING OUT THE WOMENS' ORDINATION GROUP'S DESIRE TO PROTEST IN ROME BUT ALLOWING THEM TO MAKE FOOLS OF THEMSELVES FOR THE WORLD TO SEE AND MOCK--GREAT STRATEGY!

Well, there was a brouhaha about a low level Vatican official being kind to elderly women who want to be priests to satisfy their desire for power and prestige (this is called clericalism, btw).

He said, I am sure tongue in cheek, that he would give their petition for women to be ordained to the Holy Father. Ya, right!

He also allowed them to have a protest and then to attend the Mass with Pope Francis where he honored the priesthood. How nice. I wonder if they would be dressed in alb and stole as a sign of their "priestessness" being united with that of the actual priest present concelebrating the Mass with the pope.

To find out read on!
About 20 people gathered Friday in Piazza Pia at the far end of the boulevard that runs into the plaza outside St. Peter’s Basilica, where a Mass for the Jubilee of Priests was beginning. The Women’s Ordination Worldwide supporters dressed in purple stoles — a symbol of women’s ordination — and carried signs that read, “Women priests are here.”
They also had a cardboard replica of a telephone booth that was labeled, “Door to dialogue.”
WOW organizers had a permit for their demonstration, making it, they say, the first legal demonstration for the group in Rome.
“We walked down the pilgrim’s path toward St. Peter’s and joined the Mass for priests,” McElwee told NCR. “However, the women priests with us had their stoles and signs taken away, as well as our leaflets and pins.”
Is it wrong for the Church and her officials to show kindness to deluded Catholic women who want to be priestesses? They really are a sad group who need the Church's charity, kindness and caresses in their delusions.

Our parish sees a woman who thinks she is a priestess rather frequently. She wears an alb and chasuble to Mass, sits in the front and consecrates her own bread and wine during the Liturgy. What drives me insane though, but I bite my tongue and don't say anything, I just smile, is that she wears the wrong liturgical color!!!!!!

I am kind to her, smile at her and welcome her to the parish. Why upset the delusional more than they are and provoke in them ugliness?

She attempted one time to board Air Force One and wasn't treated as kindly by the Secret Service as the women priestesses in Rome were treated by a low level Vatican Official on Friday:
I am consistently nice to her. Why disturb a disturbed soul even more?

Is this satire? What an absurd and stupid speculation. One that could only be believed by the blind and ignorant. Intentionally or otherwise.

The closest I've heard to that was one of the English priests who blog, I think it was Fr Ray Blake, said he had a woman who used to attend his Mass wearing a mantilla in the liturgical color of the day - she had no desire to be a priestess - just liked to tone in with the liturgical colors and it seems she used to at least get the color of the day right.

I saw that woman at mass a time or two. At first I didn't know what she was all about and thought she was in some Third Order or the Knights of Malta or something. When she opened her mouth I immediately knew something was not right. She proceeded to tell me how she was ordained in the Order of Melchizedek and something else. I kept it nice and just sort of bowed out. What could one say? Start an argument? It's not worth it especially at church.

In her vain, blind rush to change Christ's Church, she doesn't comprehend that she could be so much more.

One day long ago I was walking into an urban parish church in the area where I'm from, and the woman walking into the church ahead of me was dressed like Carmen Miranda, with a street length skirt, fruit hat, and all. It takes all kinds.
