24 HOURS AFTER THE SHOOTING IN CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA, SAINT TERESA CHURCH IN AUGUSTA (GROVETOWN) CELEBRATES MASS FOR PERSECUTED AND MARTYRED CHRISTIANS IN THE MIDDLE EAST PLANNED FOR THIS NIGHT MONTHS EARLIER

Father Dawid Kwiatkowski our former parochial vicar from Poland, emails me telling me about the Mass last night:

Yesterday we had about 15 priests and 12 deacons at Mass for Persecuted Christians, and a full house of people ...1200 ...Many wore red tee-shirts for the color of the martyrs!

(My sister Elizabeth and her daughter Becky, my niece, attended as well).

PLEASE NOTE THE LINK TO THE PODCAST OF HIS MOST POWERFUL AND APPROPRIATE HOMILY:

Fr. Ezzat Bathouche was the guest Homilist at last night’s Mass for Persecuted Christians and his homily is available on our parish podcast. http://www.st-teresa.com/parishpodcast Please take the time to listen to this podcast. Fr. Ezzat's homily is a personal witness to the persecution of Christians. His family is still in Syria, unable to obtain Visas, with ISIS approaching within 15 miles of their home. The persecution of Christians continues to go unreported in our news media and with no action by our government.

Fr. Ezzat is a native of Syria and was ordained on August 22, 2008 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Ascension in his home village of Khabab, Syria.

I couldn't find the recording at the link given. Would you find out if the recording exists and where it can be accessed?

Thanks!
