Gaudete Sunday at Saint Anne Church Richmond Hill, 2022:
My successor at Saint Anne Church has added one of the three Sunday Masses to be celebrated ad orientem. Our daily Mass for the past three years or so has been ad orientem, but none of our Sunday Masses. The 5 pm Vigil and 8 AM Sunday Mass remain facing the nave, but the 11 AM High Mass is now ad orientem for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
We’ve had kneelers for those who wish to kneel to receive Holy Communion. On my bucket list and I hope Fr. Dawid’s, now, a future altar railing could be added when a parishioner wins the lottery and donates the cash!

Sophia here: Wow! Talk about a day brightener! Father, how excited and thrilled you must be that your "Timothy", Fr Dawid who was the perfect successor to you there at St. Anne Church, Richmond Hill has done this and so quickly. It was such a natural progression- you had already cultivated the soil and even planted some seeds, the daily ad orientem Mass! Way to go Fr. Dawid! How blessed are these parishioners! I too shall be buying lottery tickets! It would be a real joy to be able to gift that parish a Communion rail!
That is a small change that will be a big deal some day.
