OUCH! FATHER RAYMOND DE SOUZA’S COMMENTARY ON THE SYNOD ON SYNODS…DID I SAY OUCH?

My comment first: Why in the name of God and all that is holy would the pope initiate a process so controversial, so schismatic, so heretical, so apostacizing, when the Church has been in crisis since about 1965 already before this insult to Catholic intelligence? Then on top of that, the clergy sexual abuse crisis, which still is giving without ceasing, is pushing people out of the Church to non-denominational sects, conservative in their ideology or pushing Catholics to become nones, meaning practicing agnostics. Why is the pope doing this? His Holiness has to know how polarizing his papacy has been, how dysfunctional it is and in rupture with that of the previous two papacies. Why is His Holiness doing this? Will a Saint Catherine of Siena type saint come forward and demand the pope to return to Rome?

From the National Catholic Register’s Father Raymond De Souza:

Peeking Inside the Synod on Synodality’s Boardroom

COMMENTARY: Austen Ivereigh and the other ‘experts’ at the recent synodal summit in Frascati act as if John Paul II’s papacy added nothing constructive on the lay faithful, families, clergy and other topics related to Vatican II.

And if you want to read more from a heart-broken and now cynical Catholic about a dysfunctional papacy, read this if you dare:

HERE

And if that isn’t enough about dysfunction in the Vatican’s highest echelon, read this if you dare:

Ex-Vatican auditor, threatening to reveal all, sues church, alleging damage to his reputation

We are being bamboozeled by the Jesuit cabal now in charge, and their hubris is breath taking. Pray daily the "Memorare" that their strangle hold will soon come to an end.

Both V-1 and V-2 were power plays. They bot backfired.

Pope Francis called us to make a mess. He is still showing us how to do it. May be he does not know how to do anything else.

Via the National Catholic Register, Father Raymond J. de Souza has...ummm...registered :-) ...his opinion in question.

Okay, fine.

Those who agree with him will insist: ..."Father Raymond J. de Souza has spoken in regard to the Synod. You see...the Synod/Synodal process is horrific. That is that. We are right. The case is closed."

Conversely, I could quote one Cardinal, bishop, priest, religious, as well as one layman after another, who has rejected Father de Souza's opinion in question.

But, as usual, we would arrive at the same old impasse in regard to each our opinions.

Fortunately, Deo gratias, the True Church is blessed with the Vicar of Christ...the one who is blessed with never-failing faith.

Therefore, in regard to the Synod/Synodal process, the following is guaranteed:

Amidst the real, or otherwise, supposed chaos at hand, the Vicar of Christ will lead us to an orthodox conclusion.

The Vicar of Christ, guided by the Holy Ghost, will crown the Synod with a beautiful, orthodox, teaching document.

Therefore, we need not collapse in fear in regard to the Synod/Synodal process. I, at least, will not do that.

Pax.

Father McDonald said..."His Holiness has to know how polarizing his papacy has been, how dysfunctional it is and in rupture with that of the previous two papacies."

Father McDonald, in regard to your opinion that Pope Francis' Pontificate has ruptured "with that of the previous two papacies:"

In regard to Pope Emeritus' Pontificate: Pope Emeritus has spoken to that issue.

The "rupture," Emeritus had noted, is in regard to temperament, and style.

Father McDonald, you are correct if that is what you have meant in regard to a "rupture" between the two pontificates in question.

But in regard to the vital issue of the Faith, then Pope Emeritus has rejected the claim that a rupture has formed between his former Pontificate, and that of Pope Francis' Pontificate.

Pope Francis, and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, hold, and promote, the True Religion, according to Pope Emeritus.

Therefore, it follows, as well, that a rupture in regard to the Faith does not exist between Pope Francis' Pontificate, and the Pontificate of his holy, and great predecessor, Pope Saint John Paul II.

As we know from Pope Venerable Pius II's Encyclical Mystici Corporis Christi, #50:

Jesus Christ has enlightened Pope Francis "with the supernatural gifts of knowledge, understanding and wisdom, so that they (Pope(s)) may loyally preserve the treasury of faith, defend it vigorously, and explain it and confirm it with reverence and devotion."

From his 2013 A.D. Papal election to date, Pope Francis has enjoyed from Pope Emeritus his (Pope Emeritus') "unconditional reverence and obedience.”

Pax.

Father McDonald, I appreciate that you do not demanded that everybody must march in lockstep with your opinions. Many bloggers/twitter folks do not tolerate opposing comments.

Father McDonald, in regard to your willingness to allow each person his, or her, say:

I believe that your blog is the original listening session.

Move over Synod. Father McDonald's blog has beaten you to the the punch.
