Lauren Giddings had not been seen since this past Saturday. On Thursday a missing persons report was made. She is a Mercer Law School graduate, studying for her bar exam and about to move to Atlanta. She came to daily Mass at St.Joseph Church frequently.
Thursday noon a dismembered body of a female, yet to be identified because of its condition was found outside Lauren's downtown apartment.
God rest her soul and may her family be comforted.

Lord, please shine your light forth in the darkness of these horrid days. Hold Lauren's family in the palm of Your hand and infuse them with Your love. OH Mary, conceived without sin, pray for them. Amen

Father, I've been a lurker on your blog for a few years. I knew Lauren in college. Her loss is devastating, but I am happy that she was a member of such a solid and beautiful church - "the jewel of the South." Praying for her, her family, and your congregation, too.
