Surely he could figure out how to leave evidence of his suspicions. I think he was being blackmailed.rcghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00661998350597126663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846189835239594160.post-91240143401121771842018-09-20T16:38:24.888-04:002018-09-20T16:38:24.888-04:00Carol:

I think Benedict is being quite sincere when he points to his health as the reason for his resignation. Being on call 24/7 is not something any quiet scholar advanced in his years could tolerate for long.Victornoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846189835239594160.post-21622543545039110202018-09-20T14:54:44.313-04:002018-09-20T14:54:44.313-04:00Carol, I always thought there was something going ...Carol, I always thought there was something going on as well. He said the pope's sudden decline in health was caused by the stress of the job. I said that Cardinal Ratzinger had a stressful job and a rigorous schedule for many years, and that the papacy would not be more physically demanding on him. My husband called me a conspiracy theorist, but I was just forming an opinion based on what I knew and saw.

After Pope Benedict XVI resigned, Pope Francis was always being reported as taking his meals in surprising places, such as with seminarians in their dining facilities, instead of taking his meals where he was expected to be. He wouldn't even live in the papal residence, did he suspect that Pope Benedict XVI was being poisoned too?

My suspicions never went further than my husband, until now. But now that it is put out there by a different source, I feel free to express what I have suspected all along.Carol H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02475843499648488542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846189835239594160.post-31046042222710195482018-09-20T13:48:10.496-04:002018-09-20T13:48:10.496-04:00If Benedict XVI did feel compelled to resign under...If Benedict XVI did feel compelled to resign under duress (and, this could be proven), what, big picture, does this mean regarding the current pontiff and his rights to the Office?
