In many ways, he is amusing I tend to look upon him more as a tool of bigger interests who served their purposes when it was his assigned time to do so. He's going to live a nice, respectable life as an ex-president and I wish him well. I just don't have much of a high regard for his legacy--but then again, I don't regard George W.'s or Bill Clinton's or George H.W.'s legacies as much to crow about either. The entire political establishment stinks from the ground up and the smell is only getting stronger.Citizen Dystopianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846189835239594160.post-81673631722010759332021-01-20T16:23:55.216-05:002021-01-20T16:23:55.216-05:00Anon 3:20 - No, the REALLY great sins committed by...Anon 3:20 - No, the REALLY great sins committed by Obama were 1) putting his feet on the desk in the Oval Office and 2) wearing a ta suit.

(Of course, the fact that there are pix of Reagan in tan and several other of Obama's predecessors with their feet on the desk to not absolve the black man...)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846189835239594160.post-8268624644960925792021-01-20T15:20:10.108-05:002021-01-20T15:20:10.108-05:00Someday in our lifetime, conservatives may get ove...Someday in our lifetime, conservatives may get over their hatred for President Obama over things that they imagined he said and did. Trump was quite vocal in his support for religious freedom, especially when some provinces actually gave more rights to strip clubs and porn providers than to churches.

On the other hand, Obama could also be called a defender of religious freedom. Elite academia's disdain for America's history and the need to vilify all of white America as racist IS (no, I am not joking) a type of religion. And Obama, his wife and many others in his circle were strong defenders of that religion.

And that seems to leave us where we are now: For one part of the country, Christianity, Judaism and a few other "churches" fall under the tent of "religion". For the rest, secularized government is their religion. And again, I am not joking. The devotion that some of the secularists have to their cause and their determination to erase and punish all dissent IS nothing short of religious and those of us who call ourselves Christian should be ashamed of our lukewarmness by comparison.Plebian 1972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846189835239594160.post-82076994325283331522021-01-20T05:40:23.110-05:002021-01-20T05:40:23.110-05:00LIKE I SAID...we need to stop it.
