It began with his election a bit tenuously for me, but with obedience. It has been challenged by temporal concerns at times. Like many commenters here I have knee-jerk reacted to his impulsive, sometimes poorly thought and poorly phrased responses to journalists. Unlike many commenters here (I presume, although perhaps wrongly), I have read his little book "The Name of God Is Mercy" and it is working on me. It is a very simple and concise but firmly-rooted exposition from a man who, if he chose, could probably say the same in a much more protracted, pontifical way.
