They are free to ordain women if they like (though doubtless there is not much ceremony in any of their ordinations). You can use robes if you like (the vast majority of Baptists don't), candles. You can set your own liturgy, without any prescribed requirements. Mainline Protestantism has its order of worship---for instance, the Book of Common Prayer in the Episcopal Church, and for Methodists it may be the Book of Order, sone name like that. And when it comes to sexual abuse, well, one is "on their own" in a Baptist Church.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846189835239594160.post-17838741656822940752018-12-10T13:11:58.248-05:002018-12-10T13:11:58.248-05:00The media has a strong anti-Catholic bias. What is worse is that we have an epidemic of sex abuse by public school teachers but the mainstream media outlets opt NOT to cover it because the perpetrators are union, goon Democrats. The media decides not to print stories that reflect badly on Democrats. It is a tactical waste of time to do anything with these sorts of stories beyond read them for methods of dealing with it as social creatures. We would do well to avoid that Italian feeling of schadenfreude. rcghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00661998350597126663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846189835239594160.post-52671415049181424442018-12-10T10:55:08.596-05:002018-12-10T10:55:08.596-05:00Good point Dan. It wasn't long before he was relocated and plying his pentecostalism at another church out of state.

Like I said, the media only seems to like Catholics when it comes to this. Jimmy Swaggart was a rare exception. I'll leave it to you to guess why.Robert Kumpelnoreply@blogger.com
