I consider that Cardinal Pell has been thrown to the wolves by the same liberal cabal in the Vatican that has got rid of Cardinal Burke, Cardinal Mueller and may well have helped Cardinal Meisner on his way.

We must pray very much for the good, honest and upright Cardinal Pell.

JanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846189835239594160.post-74937595034309646772017-07-27T16:54:58.178-04:002017-07-27T16:54:58.178-04:00A former Anglican clergyman (now with the Orthodox...A former Anglican clergyman (now with the Orthodox Church) saw the handwriting on the wall nearly 25 years ago. He wrote back in the mid 1990s: "At some point it must be recognized that there was an inherent flaw and weakness in the internal structure of Anglicanism that left it unable to withstand the assault of the pagan secular world. The accommodating tolerance of high, low and broad inclusiveness, which has historically been seen as one of the hallmarks of the Anglican Communion, has not been the great strength so many thought it to be. That inclusiveness, which in faith and doctrine is, in all probability, the primary source of our discomfort and dysfunction. The Elizabethan settlement, which was in truth the Elizabethan compromise, may have been politically brilliant but has proven to be spiritually deadly."

A picture of that 1994 ordination is revealing too---the women are wearing surplices and stoles, not an alb and stole (and there is no sign of a chasuble in the picture). Symbolic more of a "Low Church" ordination, where the Eucharist is not central to worship.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846189835239594160.post-9062185291228521002017-07-27T13:01:31.111-04:002017-07-27T13:01:31.111-04:00If "orthodoxy unites" and "liberali...If "orthodoxy unites" and "liberalism only tears apart", then it should be clear as to which is holy, and which is evil.

"By their fruits, you shall know them."Carol H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02475843499648488542noreply@blogger.com
