Augusta, Aiken), Father?<br /><br />Today we had a visiting priest. The penitential rite took place at the entrance to the sanctuary in front of the altar rails. Most of the homily was given from the nave in "walkabout" fashion, with lots of interactive Q&A in the manner of a game show host. <br /><br />Then there was this........<br /><br /><b>Pr</b>: May the peace of the Lord be with you always.<br /><br /><b>Cong</b>: And also with you.<br /><br /><b>Pr</b>: Thank you!!<br /><br />This happened several times, including whenever the celebrant said "the Lord be with you" and the people responded....."and also with you".......<br /><br />Whenever he said "thank you" I wanted to shout......."don't mention it!"<br /><br />.............*sigh*.............<br /><br />Just when I thought we were almost over this malarkey.
