MORE BISHOPS LIKE THE BISHOP OF TYLER TEXAS MUST BE BOLD AND SOBER ABOUT ARCHBISHOP VIGANÒ’S SHOCKING TESTIMONY!

Bishop Strickland’s Public Statement to the Diocese

Dear Priests, Deacons, Religious and all Holy Faithful of the Diocese of Tyler,

A letter ... by Archbishop Vigano, former Nuncio to the United States, raises grave allegations and calls for the resignation of numerous high ranking prelates including Pope Francis.

Let us be clear that they are still allegations but as your shepherd I find them to be credible.  Using this standard the response must be a thorough investigation similar to those conducted any time allegations are deemed to be credible.  I do not have the authority to launch such an investigation but I will lend my voice in whatever way necessary to call for this investigation and urge that it’s findings demand accountability of all found to be culpable even at the highest levels of the Church.

As this unfolds I urge all in the Diocese of Tyler to pray fervently for Holy Mother Church and beg the Intercession of Our Blessed Mother.  We are the flock of Jesus Christ.  He is Lord of His Church and His Holy Spirit will guide us through this darkness.

Almighty God Father, Son and Spirit have mercy on your Church and cleanse her in the fires of your Love.

Blessed Virgin Mary, Pray for us

All Sainted Popes & Bishops in Heaven, Pray for us
All Holy Men and Women, Pray for us

I direct all priests to include this notice  in the masses on August 26, and post it on their websites and other social media immediately.

Most Reverend Joseph E. Strickland
Bishop of Tyler

Well, today is turning into a very good day!

Archbishop Vigano has a pristine reputation and is highly-regarded among liberal and conservative prelates alike (save the homosexual cabal of McCarrick and co). I full expect more, good bishops to support him and a few bishops, connected to McCarrick to disparage him (and disparage him personally). If Vigano is not a credible source, there isn't one in the Church. There is absolutely no doubt: This is damning and astonishing.

Another brave bishop stepw up....now, if only the rest will stop testing the political winds and wondering whether to cut the blue wire or the red wire of the bomb smoking and sputtering in their lap.

Pope Francis is facing a scenario he could never have imagined.

If he does resign, it will only be because of intense media and public outcry. Liberals cling to their positions of power and never surrender, even when they know they are doomed. I would be very surprised if he lets go of his power as pope any time soon. Sadly, this will only hurt the credibility of the Church even more.

As for Viganó, his reputation already under attack for swiftly wrapping up an investigation of Bishop Niestadt whom he saw as being railroaded by militant gays submitting false testimony, due to the Bishop openly enforcing gay ban at seminaries, and shutting down a pro-gay Catholic popular event. No idea if his perception was accurate, and he certainly did not get nuances of law here in his decision, nor in his ordering complaints by investigators to be destroyed.

Dan, Indeed! Frankly, a good day for Confession and extended prayer for all involved.

seems an awake, wise and knowing point made to require all pastors to post this...since first searches like mine directly to your bishops name and diocese wind up "file not found". Try it? Fighting for conscience is fighting for freedom. A void of conscience is...well, a void of conscience. Fr Jerzy pray for us.

As for the wax museum photo, which I have no idea how to attach here, an email from non-Cwtholic friend said it looked as if Richelieu had bagged another one..

Again, as for this hydra within the Church, good men already have seen what happens to those who oppose, Mueller, Burke, and too many minor folk to mention.

Not only careers, but them knowing in many cases, sympathetic seminaries have leaked confidential files of everything ever discussed with a director.

We await a groundswell of heroic individual Bishops to follow Tyler, TX rather than wait to act with watered down corporate hive mind.

Worldwide...pray for this...PRAY!!!!

I could be wrong, of course, but I read Dan’s comment as sarcasm.

Keyser:

“Liberals cling to their positions of power and never surrender, even when they know they are doomed.”

Either Donald Trump is a liberal, then, or you must concede that non-liberals also fit your description which clearly applies to President Trump.

And so back to Dan’s comment: It is not a good day with this new scandal breaking, another mass shooting, and the death of Senator John McCain. But perhaps his death may help refocus us on the better angels of our nature so that we can remember how much we need his sort of courage, honor, and integrity both in the Republic and in the Church.

"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

-Our Lady of La Salette, 1846

“Satan rules even in the highest positions and determines the direction of things. He will succeed in worming his way even into the highest summits of the Church…”

-Our Lady of Fatima, 1917

“The Church will be punished because the majority of Her members, high and low, will become so perverted. The Church will sink deeper and deeper until She will at last seem to be extinguished, and the succession of Peter and the other Apostles to have expired. But, after this, She will be victoriously exalted in the sight of all doubters.”

-St. Nicholas von Flue

“There will be an Ecumenical Council in the next century, after which there will be chaos in the Church.”

-1862 prediction of St. John Bosco

“I saw also the relationship between the two popes… I saw how baleful (evil; harmful) would be the consequences of this false church.

"The Church is in great danger… I see that in this place (Rome) the (Catholic) Church is being so cleverly undermined, that there will hardly remain a hundred or so priests who have not been deceived."

“Among the strangest things that I saw, were long processions of bishops. Their thoughts and utterances were made known to me through images issuing from their mouths. Their faults towards religion were shown by external deformities. A few had only a body, with a dark cloud of fog instead of a head. Others had only a head, their bodies and hearts were like thick vapors. Some were lame; others were paralytics; others were asleep or staggering.”

“I saw what I believe to be nearly all the bishops of the world, but only a small number were perfectly sound…”
“Then I saw that everything that pertained to Protestantism was gradually gaining the upper hand, and the Catholic religion fell into complete decadence…”
-Blessed Anna Katherine Emmerich

In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered.”

-Leo XIII

“I am worried by the Blessed Virgin’s messages to Lucy of Fatima. This persistence of Mary about the dangers which menace the Church is a Divine warning against the suicide of altering the Faith, in Her liturgy, Her theology and Her soul. … I hear all around me innovators who wish to dismantle the Sacred Chapel, destroy the universal flame of the true Faith of the Church, reject Her ornaments and make Her feel remorse for Her historical past.”

-Pius XII

“The apostasy of the city of Rome from the vicar of Christ and its destruction by Antichrist may be thoughts very new to many Catholics, that I think it well to recite the text of theologians of greatest repute. ...Then the Church shall be scattered, driven into the wilderness, and shall be for a time, as it was in the beginning, invisible; hidden in catacombs, in dens, in mountains, in lurking places; for a time it shall be swept, as it were from the face of the earth. Such is the universal testimony of the Fathers of the early Church.”

A2, that could be so. But the enemy can be wrong when he thinks he is winning.

Anonymous 2, are you totally unhinged? What does President Trump have to do with this? On the other hand, a Pope who espouses Global Warming and Open Borders sounds like an adherent of Abortion King, Barack Obama! Naff off

The Vatican’s former ambassador to the United States quashed an independent investigation in 2014 into sexual and possible criminal misconduct by Archbishop John C. Nienstedt of St. Paul and Minneapolis and ordered church officials to destroy a letter they wrote to him protesting the decision, according to a memo made public on Wednesday.

The detailed memo was written by an outraged priest, the Rev. Dan Griffith, who was working in the top ranks of the archdiocese and was the liaison to the lawyers conducting the inquiry. He wrote that the ambassador’s order to call off the investigation and destroy evidence amounted to “a good old fashioned cover-up to preserve power and avoid scandal.”

The document offers a grave indictment of the conduct of the Vatican’s ambassador, and will probably put pressure on Pope Francis to discipline him and Archbishop Nienstedt. The former ambassador, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, served as Pope Francis’ representative to the church until he retired in April.

“What does President Trump have to do with all of this?”

Don’t ask me this, ask Keyser what “liberals” have to do with it?

By the way, I could ask you the same “unhinged” question. -:)
