I had arthroscopic surgery yesterday on my right knee for a torn meniscus. I did great after the surgery but since mid morning today the pain has increased. I was given two different types of prescription pain killers but didn't want to take any but at 5pm I gave in and my knee still hurts but now I don't care! Weeeee! Please pray that I have a quick recovery. Not suppose to drive for four weeks! But that ain't happening!

Father I hope your recovery goes well. I'll remember your intentions at Mass tomorrow morning.
Fr, I hope you recover quickly. Follow the doctor's advice...
Might make genuflecting tricky for awhile too but follow the prescribed regimen and you'll do fine Father. Will keep you in my prayers.
Please don't drive till cleared by the MD. You can't control what others might do and damage the Good Doctor's work.
Yep follow doctor's orders. Surprising how well they work. I had the same surgery and it was a breeze recovering. If you follow doctor's orders.
I actually agree with PI in this case. As someone who has had leg surgery, stay off your leg until given clearance...you'll need a DD for now :D. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
Father, my prayers for a speedy recovery, Jan
Following my back surgery 20 years ago, I did not drive for 30 days. It was a bother, but the healing was complete and I count the technical ability of Dr. FPWirth and the surgical team as one of the great gifts God has given to me.
Be patient - let the healing take its course!
Vicodin is the best stuff. I recommend heavy dosages of it. I used it for about 4 nights when I had rotator cuff problems and I slept better than I had for years. I wish you a speedy recovery. God needs you back on the job soon, but He wants you healthy.
I would do what the doctor advised. They have experience in these things after all and know what can happen.
At any rate, I will have you in my prayers for a speedy recovery.
Pater Ignotus is always such a rigid conformist. It's always about rules, rules rules for him. I say, go skydiving and jet skiing this week!
BTW, I had torn meniscus surgery, ignored doctor's orders, and had a four month recovery rather than a four week one. So, you'd do well to do the opposite of what I recommend.
